We are a team of young architects who have came up with a project named Teu Y Pot following the idea of applying a new model of human settlement in local context in Ngoc Linh mountain, the natural border between Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam. This aimed to:
- Protect the forest in central highland of Vietnam.
- Try to preserve traditional cultural values in that region.
- Support the ethnic minority to survive and benefit from the forest while conserving it.
- Experiment a new lifestyle that is in harmony with nature and honor the values of manual works.
The project has two phases:
Phase 1 Da Lat City: Building up capability of team members, lay the financial foundation for the team, carry out feasibility study
Phase 2 Kontum: implementation.
Our tasks are based on four aspects:
- Natural building: design, renovate and build houses, farms with the local reusable and natural- friendly materials, as well as suitable for human scale.
- Natural art: reserve the culture values of local ethnic.
- Natural farming: do farming by ourselves aimed to self-provided food.
- Sustainable life-style : inspired people to follow a way of life with healthy body and peaceful mind.
